If you have a serious disability and need help to buy or modify a car or other vehicle such as a wheelchair accessible car in our stock , you may be able to get Vehicle Modification Funding.

Who can get a Vehicle Modification Funding
You can only get this payment if the Ministry of Health assesses you as needing the vehicle or vehicle modification.
Needs Assessment and Service Coordination services
If you or someone you care for needs support because of a disability, you’ll need to talk to a Needs Assessment and Service Coordination service (NASC).
How much you can get
This depends on:
- the cost of the vehicle or modifications
- how much you and your partner earn
- any money or assets you and your partner have.
The maximum amount payable to purchase a vehicle is $12,165 (GST inclusive).
